MERCHANT FILMS OVERVIEW

Merchant Films develops, finances, produces and secures distribution for modestly budgeted films. Created with a dedicated focus on feature film, the company is a spin off of Chambers Communications established 45 years ago. Now entirely owned by Scott Chambers, Kellie Chambers and Dan Giustina, Merchant Films has a two pronged strategy; develop our own projects and co-produce projects with a select set of partners. Both strategies are focused on leveraging company owned production assets (stages, video editing, and sound design) to create high quality products in a controlled cost model. As part of our strategy, we are also exploring the establishment of a division focused on foreign sales.

Merchant Films finances its activities through a combination of private equity, tax incentives, foreign sales, distribution, and various forms of debt. We decide to green light projects only after vetting the project's viability with distribution and building a business plan based on the unique marketing aspects of the film. Merchant Films has two projects in production and another four in active development.
